Tufts N Trills Maine Coons is a small hobby cattery, breeding Maine Coon Cats. We are located in Oklahoma, USA. Our cattery is registered in TICA and CFA.
Because all of our cats are “family members” first and the health of our cats is of utmost importance, we only have a few breeding cats and therefore we only have Maine Coon kittens a few times during a year. We take our breeding program very serious. All of our breeding cats are screened by a board certified cardiologist and must be found free of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) ( the recommended method to aid in reducing the incidence of this genetic condition) , and are genetically tested to be free of the MYBPC3 gene which can cause HCM, we also X-Ray our cats to be sure they are free of Hip Dysplasia as well. All of our Cats are tested HCM DNA N/N, PK DEF N/N SMA N/N. In addition, all of our cats are guaranteed to be FeLV and FIV negative at the time of purchase.
We attend cat shows often and are doing our utmost best to be not only an ethical but a responsible breeder. We are diligent in selecting our breeding males and females to preserve these wonderful animals through our breeding program. Attending Cat Shows is an important part of our breeding program to ensure we are breeding to the standard. We have been very successful which translates into the best kitten for you with type, temperament, and health.
All of our cats are fed a raw diet of ground chicken with the necessary vitamins, minerals and fish oil added to ensure their nutritional needs are met. From all of our research, we believe this to be, by far the best source of nutrition and ensures fewer health issues that can be associated with other sources of diet. We do not believe in caging our animals. They are first and foremost members of our family. We believe that for proper stimulation and health and happiness of the animals they must have interactions with both humans and other animals. Our cats also live in a smoke free environment for their health and safety.
